Today's Activities: We finished reviewing the causes of the jet stream. We then examined how temperature gradients (differences) between warm equatorial air masses and cooler polar air masses can lead to the polar jet stream. We examined data using the "Jet Stream and Temperature Gradients" interactive tool.
