Today's Activities: We continued CPO Lab 4.1 on Forces in Machines. Students used a block and tackle to lift a block with 4 steel weights attached. They measured the number of supporting strands and the force needed to lift the block with different configurations. The class ended with students using inductive reasoning to derive a formula to describe how a pulley system can multiply forces.
